The 2017 International Engine of the Year honor has awarded for the second year to the Ferrari 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8, which features Sogefi oil filter module.
The engine that powers the 488 GTB, 488 Spider and the small size of the California T and GTC4 Lusso T, has received the International Engine of the Year Award along with the Performance Engine class and the 3-litre to 4-litre category.
The same Sogefi oil filtration technology has been applied to Ferrari’s naturally-aspirated 6.3-litre V12 engine, that powers the F12 berlinetta and F12 tdf, awarded in the above 4-litre category for the second year consecutively.
The oil filter module designed by Sogefi for performance engines: provides best in class performances and durability; usage of a protective mesh for the by pass offers the best results on efficiency, pressure drop at high flow rates and filter element life as well as mechanical stiffness in all extreme condition required by those high capacity sport engines.
Sogefi engineers are proud to work in partnership with Ferrari to provide products that meet their uncompromising requirements for the best in advanced engine technology.
Through its strong commitment to research, Sogefi continuously improves its filters with technological developments across all product families, optimizing performance in terms of life cycle, effectiveness, size, weight and environmental compatibility.
These products are present in the luxury segment and car racing engines such as: FCA 2.9 V6 twin turbo and 2.5 to 3 litre, BMW / PSA 1.6 turbo 1.4 to 1.8 litre and FCA 1.4 MultiAir turbo 1 to 1.4; a confirmation that Sogefi advanced filter technologies are first choice for global operating OEMs.
Bentley, Maserati and Porsche also trust Sogefi for the high performance filtration of their "top models".
